  1. Brief history of NEWSCAST.EXE

  3. To find version number of NEWSCAST use the command line NEWSCAST/V
  4.

  6. V1.0 - 1st realease

  8. V1.1 - Colour text added (reg version)
  9.  
  10. V1.2 - User defined boxes added (reg version)
  11.      - Colour text on header added (reg version)
  12.      - Entry number added
  13.      - problems with date if entered as 9-9-94 and not 09-09-94 cured. Both
  14.        formats now acceptable.

  16. V1.3 - Some text editors added trailing spaces to last line of text so @@@
  17.        divider line would become 40 chars long instead of 3. Program modified
  18.        to cope with this.

  20. V1.4 - Multi Colour Header text added
  21.  
  22. V1.5 - Bug in Multi Colour Header section fixed
  23.  
  24. V1.6 - Two more box types added

  26. V1.7 - Copy to ALTNEWS.A?? files added in regd version

  28. V1.8 - Preview Text option added to registered version

  30. V1.9 - Error trapping on colour codes and date format in text file added

  32. V1.9a - Preview Text section altered. Now gives much better display

  34. V1.9b - Entry numbers can now be reversed so the 1st entry can have the 
  35.         highest entry number. Users will now know how many entries there are.
  36.         Bright Colours in text now work okay.
  37.         Bug in date input section cured.
  38.         Colours.txt file now included in archive.
